Following on from his debut single release ‘Voodoo Wave’ on the OIB Spilt Series Volume 1 7” and six years in the making The Tumbledown Estate is finally ready to unleash his debut-album upon the world!

Fuck Sweat and Tears’ is an incredibly personal piece of work that lays the Tumbledown Estate bare for the whole world to analyse. The six years it took to create this masterpiece were very hard on Jim and this is a record full of the ups and downs of an artist on the brink of self-destruction as he comes to terms with years of demons. However ask him what it’s about and he’ll probably just say surfing!

If Brian Wilson was born 40 years later and grew up listening to the Magnetic Fields, Of Montreal and Why? then this is would be his ‘Smile’. Its 10 tracks of scuzzed-out pop-drenched violent self-destruction, and quite possibly the greatest record I’ve ever heard. I really cannot wait for you all to hear this masterpiece.

This page is set up as the blog home for The Tumbledown Estate where in the following months leading up to the release of his record Jim will be updating you all with the progress of his recordings, his live shows and promotion. That is of course when he isn’t cleansing himself of guilt through the medium of surf.

Here are a few snaps we took of Jim in his home-studio putting the finishing touches to the demo recordings of his new album.
