Nullifier are an infectious hyper-pop supergroup from Brighton consisting of Todd Jordan aka T-Jo (Negative Pegasus / My Device) and James Morrison aka J-Mo (The Tumbledown Estate). Padding out the rest of this insane 8-piece collective are Tom Denney (Lonely Ghosts / Soft Arrows / Help She Can't Swim), Tom Windsor (Pope Joan), Luke Hefson (Rooks), Alex Uren (My Device), Russ Eke (Soft Arrows / My Device), and Milo Boyd (Cinemascopes).

Falling somewhere between The Russian Futurists, Metronomy, and the 1969 moon landing, Nullifier are a mashed hybrid of brain destroyingly infectious synth electro hooks, filthy guitar over-drives and painfully contagious choruses circulating around the themes of space, waves, girls, and the Armageddon associated with all of the above. It’s truly like nothing you’ve heard before.

After making big waves online with their ultra-lo-fi home recordings back in 2009, it wasn’t long before the band’s name began cropping up in the pages of nationwide tastemaker magazines such as Artrocker and NME; and all this before they’d even played a single show!

“A life affirming surprise discovery” - NME

“Glorious melodies and the catchiest choruses of the year- an indie space disco riot”- The Source Magazine

“In all honesty, sometimes we have to trek long and hard through the musical landscape in order to uncover bands that we consider good enough to make it onto The Recommender, so it was a joy on this occasion to simply walk into the room and have this awesome group bowl us over. Surprises really don’t get much sweeter.” – The Recommender

With the release of their debut mini-album ‘Most Evil’, Nullifier deliver six perfectly formed infectious hyper-pop tunes on the subject of space, waves, girls, and the Armageddon associated with all of the above. After making big waves online with their ultra-lo-fi home recordings back in 2009, it wasn’t long before the band’s name began cropping up in the pages of nationwide tastemaker magazines such as Artrocker and NME; and all this before they’d even played a single show!

The band quickly went on to expand their palette, bringing harmony, subtlety, and reverb-drenched textures into the mix alongside their ever-present blown-out bass and gnarled digital snares. Self-recorded using donated equipment Nullifier offer up ‘MOST EVIL’, their highly-anticipated high-octane debut mini-album.

Time has come to spread the good word of the Brighton scene to the wider world and with that in mind we present ‘SEA MONSTERS’, a comprehensive collection of the 18 most vital and engaging bands on the Brighton Scene right now. It’s a multi-genre showcase of just how wide Brighton’s musical spectrum is, and a love-letter to the town that allows this type of shenanigan to thrive.

Across the 18 tracks you’ll hear the cool surf-rock of The Squadron Leaders and the Sticks; the slick pop perfection of Pope Joan and Nullifier; the enveloping folk-noir of Sons of Noel and Adrian and Birdengine; the 8-bit brutality of Drum Eyes and Soccer96; and the harsh garage rock of Illness and Cold Pumas; alongside a whole host of other artists and genres.
