BIO:
Tellison
is a four piece waking nightmare of an indie rock band from Hammersmith, West London. Formed in 2005 the band have released a clutch of sold-out singles, two critically acclaimed albums (2007's "Contact! Contact!" + 2011's "The Wages Of Fear") and toured the length and breadth of UK relentlessly. They've shared stages with Biffy Clyro, The Kooks and Noah and the Whale, supported bands as diverse as Gallows and Mumford and Sons and toured with underground heroes like The Get Up Kids, The Promise Ring, Hot Club de Paris and Johnny Foreigner. Their songs have featured in E4's hit shows The Inbetweeners and Made In Chelsea, soundtracked The French Open and even the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. Their music is a schizophrenic mix of all that's best in indie rock (from Idlewild, the aforementioned Get Up Kids and Pedro The Lion through The Weakerthans and Springsteen to Phoenix) filtered in equal parts through a wounded laptop or a much-repaired telecaster blended with an eye for the kind of personal lyrical depth, smart literary reference and invention that sets Tellison quite apart from their peers. A feral, sweat-soaked, wide-eyed disaster of energy onstage this band, as The Fly so aptly put it, "deserve to rule the world".
