by Rich Colwill First up on the triple bill of metal were Insomnium. Their Finnish brand of melodic death metal has been heard before and their sound mix was terrible, however despite this they gave it there all. Next up were Zyklon who were the prime act for me to witness this evening. Their sound mix was great and that goes for the musicianship aswell. Ripping their way through most of the new album ‘Disintegrate’ the audience gets nothing but brutality.
This evenings headliners Enslaved have been around for some time but their
black gothic sound is somewhat dated and their characteristic keyboard
sound is drowned out by the guitars. A disappointingly average performance
to end an otherwise fantastic evening. |
