OIB Records sign NULLIFIER

Back in early 2009 you may recall the open invitation we posted on the OIB Records site for Nullifier to come sign with OIB Records. Well they responded and guess what…album's in the works!

Nullifier are an incredibly demanding and infectious hyper-pop supergroup from Brighton consisting of Todd Jordan aka T-Jo from My Device and James Morrison aka J-Mo from The Tumbledown Estate. Padding out the rest of this insane 8-piece collective are Tom Denney (Lonely Ghosts / Help She Can't Swim), Tom Windsor (Pope Joan), Luke Hefson (Not Katies), Alex Uren (My Device), Russ Eke (My Device), and Milo Boyd (Cameltoe Comb Over).

Musically the sonic soundscapes that Nullifier create are a mashed hybrid of everything we ever loved about The Tumbledown Estate; his brain destroyingly infectious electro synth lines, his "fuck it" Russian Futurists meets Mark E Smith falsetto vocal delivery, his inherent understanding for what constitutes a pure 'pop' tune; combined with everything that makes My Device the rock power-house they are today, Todd's filthy guitar over-drives, his trademark post-grunge yelps and his reckless abandon for influence. It's incredibly rich and exciting pop music that to us sounds like jeep beats for skinny jeaned indie kids!

They're going to the studio very shortly to record their debut release for OIB Records which we're hoping to have out before the end of the Autumn.

A few early things those in the know are saying:

"Like Late of the Pier prescribed a hefty course of Ritalin and told to "stick to the bleedin' hook", Nullifier are one of those rare, life-affirming surprise discoveries that will have a hard job remaining a surprise for much longer" - NME

"Glorious melodies and the catchiest choruses of the year - an indie space disco riot" - The Source
